Modern Villa in the Heart of Nature — Nowshahr
A modern, minimalist villa nestled in the heart of nature, overlooking the lush forests of Nowshahr—where architecture is designed to serve the landscape rather than compete with it.
The concept of the project had already taken shape in the client’s mind before the design process began: a pure, modern, and tranquil space defined by parallel lines and a disciplined geometry. The intention was to create an environment where the eye would not wander in search of form, but instead remain free to experience and contemplate the surrounding nature.
For this reason, full-height openings and transparent surfaces were conceived as frames for the landscape, turning the forest into an integral part of the interior experience.
However, during the development of the façade, something unexpected emerged. In contrast to the interior, which was based on order and parallel lines, a deliberate break in the façade became a defining element of the villa’s identity. The gesture immediately captured the client’s attention and subsequently influenced the design of the roof.
The result is a distinctive, playful roof that challenges visual perception. At first glance, it appears to be a pitched roof; in reality, it is an inclined plane positioned above the main roof structure, creating an intentional play between perspective, geometry, and the skyline.
In this project, the difference between what is perceived and what is actually built becomes part of the architectural language—a language that remains simple and restrained while offering the viewer a subtle moment of discovery and surprise.
